JOB SUMMARY

The Dishwasher is directly responsible for the sanitation of the department, washing dishes, and transporting food carts to the appropriate unit. Their primary focus is to maintain high-level satisfaction as it relates to the perception of food. Strong written, organization, and verbal skills are required of the Dishwasher. • The Dishwasher is directly responsible for the sanitation of the department, washing dishes, and removing soiled trays from appropriate units. Their primary focus is to maintain high-level satisfaction as it relates to the perception of food. Strong written, organization, and verbal skills are required of the Dishwasher. This position requires that the Dishwasher have the ability to work many hours on their feet, reaching overhead, bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying items, using abrasive chemicals, and operating heavy machinery. The Dishwasher will constantly be a physical presence on the dish room. The Dishwasher is a highly visible representative of the Food and Nutrition Department and must exhibit all customer service standards as defined by the Food and Nutrition Department as well as those outlined and defined by Blessing Hospital mission and values.
