The Tray Line Assistant is directly responsible for preparing patient trays, stocking tray line area, and maintaining a clean and sanitized work environment. Tray Line Assistants are expected to provide a high level of satisfaction as it relates to the presentation and accuracy of patient orders. Tray Line Assistants are required to have basic therapeutic diet knowledges, phone etiquette, and have experience with an iPad. Strong written, organization, and verbal skills are required of the Tray Line Assistant. This position requires the Tray Line Assistant to work many hours on their feet, reach overhead, bend, squat, push, pull, lift, carry cases of items, use abrasive chemicals, and operate heavy machinery. The Tray Line Assistant will also work in the dish room during times between meal periods. The Tray Line Assistant is a highly visible representative of the Food and Nutrition Department and must exhibit all customer service standards as defined by the Food and Nutrition Department as well as those outlined and defined by Blessing Hospital mission and values.
