Responsible for managing a defined product line or work unit in a department assuming entire span of operation (24/7). A Manager is expected to maintain educational and skill levels necessary to function as staff. Is actively engaged and models the skills and behaviors of the 9 Studer Principles leading to an outcome of organizational excellence. A Manager may be responsible for budget planning and oversight. Reports to either an Administrative Director or Director. Is an active advocate of Blessing Health System in the community.
This position is responsible for overseeing, coordinating, and directing all aspects of the activities related to the payroll function for Blessing Hospital and its affiliated entities.
This includes oversight of payroll processing staff and systems and processes utilized in the payroll process.
The position provides daily staff supervision and ensures the effective and efficient operation of the payroll function while promoting customer and employee satisfaction.
This position is also responsible educating and training staff on Fair Labor Standards Act, Department of labor, Wage and Hour, IRS, and other payroll regulations, as well as helping lead process improvement initiatives to ensure systems and processes are effective, relevant, and optimal. This person will serve as the “go to” for all regulatory questions relating to all payroll process.
This person will help lead projects to propel the payroll system to enhanced functionality, workflow documentation, and efficiency.
This person will proactively work to ensure systems are set up in a manner that help to position Blessing as a leader in compliance, efficiency, accuracy, and reliability, as well as lead substantial projects on improvements in risk areas.
This position requires full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Blessing Corporate Services. ICARE standards must be demonstrated. Adherence to Code of Conduct and other policies is required.
Bachelors Degree in Accounting or related field.
Minimum of three years of progressively responsible experience in accounting or payroll.
Understanding of payroll procedures, laws, taxes, and leading practices
Experience conducting accounting or payroll regulatory research.
CPA, CMA, or SHRM certification
Experience leading a team
Experience in healthcare payroll
Experience in timekeeping and payroll software
