This position is responsible for supervising the day-to-day activities of all areas of the Patient Access Department at specified location and coordinating of the activities of all personnel. When required, staffs to cover any and all positions and shifts. Evaluates department for effective and efficient utilization of staff and resources. Assures proper and economical use of equipment, supplies, and facilities. The Patient Access Supervisor is responsible to broaden knowledge and promote the growth of staff and improve quality. Works closely with Ancillary Department Managers, Patient Access Director, and Revenue Cycle Leadership to ensure efficient and accurate registration in all areas.
The supervisor/manager provides daily staff supervision and ensures the effective and efficient operation of the department while promoting customer and employee satisfaction.

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Computer literacy required, including the use of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Power Point, and other office products
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent customer services skills, ability to independently problem-solve, and perform basic mathematical calculations
Positive interpersonal relationship skills required.
Bachelors Degree is preferred
Three - five years experience, in supervisory role preferred
Medical Terminology preferred
Required: The ability to maintain confidentiality is a requirement. Must be able to work hours and days as needed based on departmental/system demands and recognize the possibility of being on-call.
