Illini Community Hospital is hosting a food distribution on Thursday, November 21 for residents of Pike County, Illinois. There will be enough food available for approximately 200 families.

Blessing hosts open house at new ambulatory surgery center

The public is invited to see the new Blessing Health System Ambulatory Surgery Center on the campus of Blessing Hospital on Wednesday, August 18, between 4 and 6 pm, beginning with a ribbon cutting followed by tours of the facility. Parking is available in a lot in front of the new building at 12th and Spring Streets in Quincy. Those attending will need to wear masks.

Respiratory therapy team chooses its top performer for the year

Dakota Nuyen, registered respiratory therapist, Blessing Hospital, received the 2024 RT Excellence award based on her nomination by a coworker Desiree Singh.

Blessing service earns 5-star rating

Blessing Hospital’s Skilled Nursing Unit (SNU) earned an overall five-star rating for the recent survey period of the nation’s nursing homes from the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). The survey is conducted four times each year. Blessing’s SNU has earned an overall five-star rating in each of the past four survey periods.

Blessing Hospital CNA Earns Honey Bee Award

Angie Elledge, CNA, 3 South, became the sixth Blessing Hospital support staff member to receive the Honey Bee Award. Donna has recently accepted the position of patient transporter with Centralized Staffing.

2 North CNA earns Honey Bee Award

Matt Kroner, CNA, 2 North, became the 18th Blessing Hospital caregiver to receive the Honey Bee Award in a surprise presentation on Thursday, November 21.
