About Me

Armed with a quality education and a love for small town life, Kaela Wellman returned home to join the East Adams County Rural Health Clinic team in Golden, Illinois.

“I wanted to come back for family. Blessing was the best fit. I love rural health care.”

Born and raised in Liberty, Kaela understands the people of the region—farmers like her father and brother—who often feel they don’t need regular healthcare, and women who may have unanswered questions about their unique health needs. She wants to make seeking care easier.

“I want to open the door. If you have a question, call the office.”

Kaela also relates to the anxiety some patients feel.

“I don’t feel comfortable going into a doctor’s office. I get nervous, even though I am a provider. I like to make patients comfortable.”

Her admiration for strong role models, especially mothers, shapes her approach to care.

“My sister balances work, four kids, and all their activities. I admire how she spreads herself over all these areas and still gives the best version of herself.”

That’s exactly what patients can expect from Kaela—the best version of herself, dedicated to compassionate, community focused care.
