Kerrington Bailey’s kindness, professionalism, and ability to make patients feel truly cared for have earned him Blessing’s 90th Honey Bee Award. The recognition honors staff members who contribute to an exceptional patient experience and a positive work environment.
He was nominated by a grateful family member who shared the profound impact he has had on their mother over the past year. Kerrington, a member of the Blessing lab department, interacts daily with patients who need blood draws, a process that can be uneasy for patients fearful of needles or who have had previous negative experiences with the process.
“Kerrington has been the best person for my mom this past year,” the nomination reads. “He knows how to draw [my mother’s] blood without hurting her, treats her with respect, and always calls her by name,” all demonstrating his approach and quality of care that puts patients at ease.
Another nomination highlighted Kerrington’s consistency and professionalism, noting that patients regularly request him by name.
“He is always friendly, professional, and helpful,” the nominator shared. “We talk to one another like we have known each other for years, and it feels warm, like family.”
While countless staff members provide excellent care, his nomination shares that Kerrington’s ability to make patients feel special “sets him apart.”
“Everyone that I have had do my labs has always been friendly, but Kerrington makes you feel special,” notes the nomination. “His kindness, skill, and genuine connection have even transformed a routine blood draw into something positive.”
Blessing Health System congratulates Kerrington Bailey on receiving the Honey Bee Award and thanks him for the compassion, professionalism, and warmth he brings to every patient interaction. He is truly an asset to Blessing and a shining example of exceptional service.
