Josie Amelia Edwards would have been 4 years old on March 25, 2022. Her family continued a tradition they began in Josie’s honor, who was stillborn, by donating baskets to Blessing Hospital to share with families who experience a stillbirth.

Behavioral nurse earns DAISY Award

Kayla Hurt, RN, Behavioral Medicine Services, became the 64th Blessing Hospital nurse to receive the international DAISY Award during a ceremony on September 23, 2021.

Blessing rehabilitation nurse retires

Melinda Heindselman, BSN, RN, Rehabilitation Services, Blessing Hospital, retires August 15 after 34 years of service. She began her career as a certified nurse assistant (CNA) in 1980, joining Blessing Hospital and its Skilled Nursing Unit (SNU) staff in 1990.
