Interested members of the public are invited to gather with Blessing Health and Gift of Hope Organ and Tissue Donor Network staff at a flag raising to mark Donate Life Month. The flag raising takes place at the flag pole in front of Blessing Hospital at 10 am, Friday, April 12.

Blessing rehabilitation nurse retires
Melinda Heindselman, BSN, RN, Rehabilitation Services, Blessing Hospital, retires August 15 after 34 years of service.
She began her career as a certified nurse assistant (CNA) in 1980, joining Blessing Hospital and its Skilled Nursing Unit (SNU) staff in 1990.
Hospice nurse earns DAISY award
Molly Beaver, BSN, RN, Blessing Hospice, became the 90th Blessing Hospital nurse to receive the international DAISY award for extraordinary nursing care during a ceremony on November 28, 2023.

Blessing offers free colorectal cancer screening kits in March
In recognition of National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month, Blessing Health is providing free, take-home colorectal cancer screening kits to the public at locations in west central Illinois and northeast Missouri, and by mail. The kits are available beginning March 3 and while supplies last.

Art by Quincy Artists Guild on display at Blessing Hospital
Art by the Quincy Artists Guild will be on display throughout the month of March in the main lobby of the Blessing Hospital 11th Street Campus. The Guild’s annual show at the Hospital features two dimensional works by both amateur and professional members. These works are predominantly watercolor, oil paintings and photography.
