Blessing nurses ace TNS certification exam
First it was the Blessing-Rieman College of Nursing’s May 2020 graduates exceeding the NCLEX pass rate by nearly nine percentage points. Now, 10 Blessing Hospital nurses have demonstrated their academic and clinical expertise by achieving a 100% pass rate on their first attempt at passing the Illinois Trauma Nurse Specialist (TNS) examination.

David Lieber, MD, board certified urologist, Blessing Health, will see patients at McDonough District Hospital (MDH) each Wednesday, beginning October 5, between the hours of 9 am and 3 pm.
Registration open for 2023 Pink Pass It On in the District 5K Walk
Registration is now open for the 17th annual “Pink Pass It On in the District” 5K Walk for Breast Cancer Awareness. The walk will take place on Saturday, October 21, 2023. All proceeds benefit the Blessing Foundation Breast Center Financial Assistance Program.

Maureen Kahn, president and CEO, Blessing Health, will retire on October 6, 2023. The announcement was made by Timothy Koontz, Chairman, Blessing Corporate Services Board of Trustees.
Getting outpatient lab testing done gets easier on March 4
People in the Illini Community Hospital area who need lab testing have a new option beginning March 4. Illini Express Clinic will provide pre-registered patients their outpatient lab testing in the Clinic’s drive through bay, instead of the person having to go the laboratory inside the hospital during the hours they are open.
Blessing cardiologist retires
Eliot Nissenbaum, DO, FACC, FCCP, invasive cardiologist, Blessing Health, retires July 12, 2024, after 10 years of service to Tri-State patients.
