What should a prostate cancer screening include and when should screening begin?
Some providers do a blood test called a Prostate Specific Antigen test only (PSA). If a man’s PSA level trends up over time, it could be an indication of prostate cancer. Other providers order a PSA test and conduct a digital rectal exam (DRE). Blessing Health board-certified urologist William Severino, feels both tests deliver the most complete picture.
Three nurse educators retire
Blessing-Rieman College of Nursing and Health Sciences faculty members Sheila Capp Taber, PhD, RN; Deborah Race, PhD, RN; and Linda Burke, MSN, RN, have retired after a total of 101 years of service.
Look Good Feel Better Program for Cancer Patients
The Look Good Feel Better program is offered at the Blessing Cancer Center Appearance Center. Group workshops, one-on-one consultations and take home materials for women and men are offered at no cost to patients.
