Blessing Breaks Ground For Medical Office Building

Blessing Health System leaders, city officials and other invited guests ceremonially turned shovels full to dirt at 48th and Maine Street in Quincy to begin construction of a two story medical office building.

Blessing donation comes just in time for summer at Jackson-Lincoln Pool

Ready for summer! Blessing Health System presented representatives of the Jackson-Lincoln Swimming Complex with a check for $14,391.63 at the organization's annual meeting Friday, March 22, 2019. The donation covers $8,391.64 needed to replace the pool's pump and $6,000 to fund a Family Swim Night each week during the summer of 2019. Veterans group recognizes Blessing Health with award

Together with Tri-State Veterans Support (TSVS) recognized Blessing Health with the first “Veterans’ Choice Award” during a ceremony at Blessing Hospital on Friday, November 8, attended by more than 100 Blessing staff and volunteers.

Rectal cancer has caused him to put down his bow, but Alan kept his target in sight. “No matter what, I was going to stay positive,” said the 40-year-old father of three from Bowling Green, MO, about the day in 2021 when he received his diagnosis. “Thinking negative can make you sicker.”

Local stroke care receives national recognition

The American Heart Association recognizes Blessing Hospital among the nation’s leading providers of stroke care. For the fourth consecutive year, the hospital earned the AHA’s Get With the Guidelines Gold level recognition. Specifically, Blessing received a 2024 Gold Plus Award for meeting or exceeding national core standard levels of care in the treatment of stroke patients for 2 consecutive calendar years or more.
