Blessing hosts second “Ladies’ Night”
After a successful inaugural event in 2023, Blessing Health invites all area women to attend the second “Ladies’ Night.” This evening of skin and beauty presentations, product discounts, giveaways and appetizers, will be held Thursday, September 5 between 5:30 and 7:30 pm at the Blessing Health Center, 4800 Maine in Quincy. There is no cost to attend and no registration is required.
Free certified birth doula class offered October 11th-12th
To increase options available to pregnant women in the region to access care in the ways they wish, Blessing Health is hosting a free International Childbirth Education Association (ICEA) Professional Birth Doula Workshop. It will take place on Friday, October 11 and Saturday, October 12 at the Blessing Business Center, 4919 Oak Street, Quincy.
Long-time ICU nurse earns two nominations and a DAISY award
Michelle Summy, RN, intensive care unit, became Blessing Hospital’s 107th DAISY award winner during a ceremony on April 17, 2025, for her extraordinary nursing care. She has been an ICU nurse for 37 years and received two nominations leading to her award.

Ashley Chbeir, BSN, RN, Clinical Research Coordinator, Blessing Health System, has earned certification in chemotherapy and immunotherapy administration from the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) and Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC).
Blessing Stroke Care Receives National Recognition
The American Heart Association recognizes Blessing Hospital among the nation’s leading providers of stroke care. For the third consecutive year, the hospital earned the AHA’s Get With the Guidelines Gold level recognition. Specifically, Blessing received a 2023 Gold Plus Award for meeting or exceeding national core standard levels of care in the treatment of stroke patients for 2 consecutive calendar years or more.
