State approves Blessing request to expand Moorman Pavilion
More single bed patient rooms are coming to Blessing Hospital. On Tuesday, July 24, the State of Illinois Health Facilities and Services Review Board approved Blessing’s plan to finish the fourth floor of its Moorman Pavilion building and add a 5th and 6th floor to it.

An Honor Walk is offered to the family of an organ donor as the donor is escorted from their hospital room. It involves as many caregivers as possible lining the hallway in silent respect as the donor and family move to the destination of the donation within the hospital.

COVID-19 forced Morgan Colston, RN, to move out of her family’s home. “My mom provides in-home daycare. I moved out to prevent exposure,” said the Blessing Physician Services nurse. “It was a big change. My parents are still adjusting.”
