Breast cancer survivor Pam Richard received a special trip with her family through the Blessing Cancer Center Creating Memories program.
Pam’s chemotherapy treatment affected her body’s ability to fight infection.
“This required me to stay away from people and places which were such a vital part of my life,” Pam said. “This has been the most challenging part of my journey. I want so badly to recover the time lost.”
To help Pam achieve that desire, she received $500 through the Blessing Foundation’s Penny Norton Fund so that her family – including husband, their two grandchildren, two daughters and their husbands – could enjoy a weekend at Big Cedar Lodge in Ridgedale, Missouri.
Patients are selected for a Creating Memories gift based on applications received by Blessing Cancer Center staff and the Blessing Foundation.
