Jim Beard, security, Illini Community Hospital, received the health system’s 81st Honey Bee award during a recent ceremony. The Honey Bee award recognizes the service provided by support staff that contribute to an exceptional patient experience and enhance the work environment.
The emergency room tech who nominated Jim wrote, “He is the perfect ICARE model in my opinion. Jim is always happy to help nurses or patients with any tasks, no matter how hard or mundane. He will clean rooms and random items, sit with patients, and perform other tasks. Jim will always do more than what is asked of him because he cares.
He has a passion for what he does and is one of the nicest people ever. You will never see him mad or upset. If you are upset, Jim can always turn your frown upside down.”
