Kristi Primm’s coworkers recognize her commitment to them and to their patients and that is why she was nominated for the ICARE Award for Compassion.

Blessing Health employees nominate their peers for ICARE awards based on their demonstration of any one – or all – of the Blessing Values of Integrity, Compassion, Accountability, Respect and Excellence.

Kristi is a unit secretary on the Blessed Beginnings Birth Center. Her nomination, written by Ashley White, RN, said in part:

“Kristi provides compassionate care to not only patients, but co-workers as well.

When we have patients coming in for inductions, scheduled Cesarean Sections, or even OB

emergency department patients, she always meets them in the hallway, shows them to their room and addresses any needs they may have. If there are ever unexpected delays, Kristi notifies the patients and support people right away, as well as continuing to update them with any changes.

There have been multiple times when patients have delivered their babies late at night or in the early morning hours and Kristi went to the cafeteria to grab them a bite to eat. During busy nights, Kristi has even gone to the cafeteria to grab food for co-workers, not just once, but multiple times. She does this out of the goodness of her heart.

Not only is Kristi compassionate, but she is always on top of her duties as a unit secretary; always striving to complete the many responsibilities and tasks that OB unit secretaries have.

We are lucky to have Kristi as part of our Blessing Health System family, but I am even luckier to be able to work alongside her in OB.”
