Jon Bradshaw, desktop support analyst 1, Information Systems, received Blessing’s 80th Honey Bee award during a surprise ceremony on May 19.
He was nominated by members of the Security team for his expertise, dedication and teamwork in helping resolve two situations. The first occurred when the machine Security uses to print employee name badges stopped working. The nomination said:
“It appeared that we would have to spend thousands of dollars to replace it. Jon took the time to evaluate the issue and go above and beyond with researching possible resolutions. After securing a difficult-to-find part, he took the time to disassemble this complicated printer and replace an internal part. Thanks to Jon we saved thousands of dollars.”
The second situation was:
“Jon was instrumental in helping us implement the new electronic key box system for medication keys. This system will increase accountability, save money, and help with protecting these high-risk keys. This project met with no progress until Jon was assigned to it. He went above and beyond to ensure Security was given the assistance needed.
Jon not only demonstrates the values of Blessing Health System but stands out as a great example of teamwork and dedication.”
Honey Bee award nomination forms are located on all nursing units and other locations throughout Blessing Hospital.
