EpicCare Link FAQs
EpicCare Link is a secure tool that connects approved users to patient information stored in Blessing Health Electronic Medical Record (EMR), Epic. If/when you have a patient who receives care at Blessing, you will be able to access their information, receive notifications and get the information you need to assist with coordinating your patient’s care.
EpicCare Link is a web portal that approved users can securely access information from Blessing regarding their patient’s health care.
- View Blessing patient charts whom you clinically care for.
- Non-Blessing's providers will be able to enter orders into the Blessing's system.
- Message Blessing's providers and care teams instead of making phone calls (when appropriate)
- Review clinical and billing information.
- Place certain orders (lab, imaging, referrals) electronically.
- Send In Basket messages to Blessing staff.
- Managed Access protects patient confidentiality.
- OR Marketplace for requests to schedule surgeries or submitting preprocedural documentation.
External (non-Blessing’s) community providers and their clinic staff (both clinical and non-clinical) can request access to EpicCare Link.
EpicCare Link provides continuity of care for the people we serve. As an EpicCare Link user, you can view a patient’s clinical history, test results, clinical reports and images. You also have the ability to receive real-time notifications when a patient is admitted to Blessing’s hospital and can securely message Blessing’s medical caregivers regarding patient care.
Yes. EpicCare Link users can directly communicate with a patient’s Blessing’s care team by using “In Basket”. This tool should be used for non-time-sensitive items. It is also important to note that “In Basket” messages are considered written communication which may be subject to disclosure in legal proceedings.
Yes. If imaging is available with the results, the providers will receive a link and will be able to view them.
