Hancock County COVID-19 Death
June 1, 2020, the Hancock County Health Department and Memorial Hospital have received notification from Blessing Hospital of the first death of a Hancock County resident who died of medical conditions complicated by COVID-19. The individual was in their 60’s to 70’s and passed away on Sunday, May 31 at Blessing Hospital.

For Pittsfield residents Robert and Sue Evans, a positive result from a COVID-19 test was a reason to worry.
“We both have underlying health conditions and we’ve heard about how COVID can affect individuals who have the same conditions we have,” Sue Evans said.
