Janet Kayser-Shirrell is a dreamer. She grew up at 14th and Adams in Quincy. A favorite activity of young Janet was bike riding to her grandparent’s home on the north side of town and crossing Quincy’s most famous street on the way.
Surgical tech earns ICARE award
A physician nominated surgical tech Kyleigh Hamilton for her outstanding work on a busy day at the Blessing Surgery Center. For her demonstration of the ICARE value of compassion on that day, Kyleigh received an ICARE award in a surprise ceremony on October 28.

Blessing moves weekend imaging and lab services for outpatients
People with a doctor’s order for an outpatient radiology or lab test at Blessing Health System, and who want to get their care on a weekend, now go to the Blessing Health Center 4800 Maine in Quincy instead of the Diagnostic Center at the Blessing Health Center 927 Broadway. The Diagnostic Center is now open Monday-Friday only.
