Blessing Hospital’s Skilled Nursing Unit (SNU) earned an overall five-star rating for the recent survey period of the nation’s nursing homes from the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). June 1, 2020, the Hancock County Health Department and Memorial Hospital have received notification from Blessing Hospital of the first death of a Hancock County resident who died of medical conditions complicated by COVID-19. The individual was in their 60’s to 70’s and passed away on Sunday, May 31 at Blessing Hospital.
