Illini nurse receives international award

Emily Hill, RN, Illini Rural Health Clinic, became the latest Illini nurse to receive the international DAISY award for her extraordinary nursing care. Nurses can be nominated for the award by patients or their family members, providers or other coworkers.

Behavioral Health nurse earns DAISY award

Joni Winningham, RN, outpatient behavioral health, became the 97th Blessing Hospital nurse to receive the international DAISY award during a ceremony on June 24, 2024, for her extraordinary nursing care.

Blessing Stroke Care Receives National Recognition

The American Heart Association recognizes Blessing Hospital among the nation’s leading providers of stroke care. For the third consecutive year, the hospital earned the AHA’s Get With the Guidelines Gold level recognition. Specifically, Blessing received a 2023 Gold Plus Award for meeting or exceeding national core standard levels of care in the treatment of stroke patients for 2 consecutive calendar years or more.

Radiologist Earns "Who's Your Angel?" Recogintion

Dr. Valerie Hunter, Radiologist, Radiology Partners, received a Who’s Your Angel nomination from patient, Diane Nutter. The Foundation Office presented the Who’s Your Angel award on October 17.
