About Me

Raised in both Kansas and Illinois, Dr. Anna McCormick grew up in a family where service to others was a way of life. With parents who emphasized giving back, as well as six of her seven siblings working in healthcare, she was drawn early to a career where she could help people in meaningful ways.

Dr. McCormick earned her medical degree from the SIU School of Medicine before completing her residency training with The Ohio State University Department of Emergency Medicine. She chose emergency medicine for its unique role within healthcare.

“The emergency department sees any patient, anytime, for any reason,” she explains. “It truly is the safety net of the healthcare system.”

In the often fast‑paced and unpredictable environment of the emergency room, Dr. McCormick focuses on providing steady, compassionate care. Her approach is simple and personal: treating every patient as she would a member of her own family. While the ER can feel chaotic, she strives to do the very best for each patient, every shift.

Outside of work, Dr. McCormick enjoys spending time with her family, being active through running, participating in church activities, and cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs.
