The award ceremony was held on Friday, July 26, and Peggy Tarr, a CNA on Blessing Hospital’s Skilled Nursing Unit, was named this year’s award winner.

Blessing Hospital’s Skilled Nursing Unit (SNU) earned an overall five-star rating for the recent survey period of the nation’s nursing homes from the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). The survey is conducted four times each year. Blessing’s SNU has earned an overall five-star rating in each of the past four survey periods.

The Blessing Bariatric Institute has earned the status of nationally accredited metabolic and bariatric surgical center from the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program (MBSAQIP®), a joint program of the American College of Surgeons (ACS) and the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS).
