High-power MRI at Blessing receives national accreditation
Blessing Hospital Diagnostic and Imaging has earned a three-year term of accreditation in 3T Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) after a review by the American College of Radiology (ACR), earning the organization’s gold seal of accreditation representing the highest level of image quality and patient safety.

Shelby Emerick, inpatient intervention therapist, Adolescent Psychiatric Services, earned Blessing Hospital’s 65th Honey Bee award during a surprise presentation on February 28. The Blessing Hospital Honey Bee award recognizes the exceptional service provided by support staff.

Blessing offers free colorectal cancer screening kits in March
In recognition of National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month, Blessing Health is providing free, take-home colorectal cancer screening kits to the public at locations in west central Illinois and northeast Missouri, and by mail. The kits are available beginning March 3 and while supplies last.

Blessing Hospital CNA earns communitywide award
Two Blessing Hospital CNAs were among seven from around the community nominated for the 2024 Angels of Health Care CNA of the Year award, sponsored by John Wood Community College. The award ceremony was held on Friday, July 26, and Peggy Tarr, a CNA on Blessing Hospital’s Skilled Nursing Unit, was named this year’s award winner.
Hospice staff earns who's your angel award
Hospice staff Keaton Dierker, RN; Kai Clay, CNA; April Grattan, RN; Trista Neisen, Clinical Social Worker; Jerry Edison, Chaplain; and Nancy Dolan, Hospice Volunteer; received a Who’s Your Angel nomination from a patient’s mother, Catherine Lorenson. The Foundation Office presented the Who’s Your Angel awards on October 15.
