Experience the Blessing Difference: Virtual Health
Blessing has recently invested in the virtual health space, which we plan to build on in the coming years. We currently offer:
Blessing Care on Demand: Care on Demand is 24/7 healthcare that fits in with your schedule. It is a virtual visit with a healthcare provider (a doctor or nurse practitioner), using your smartphone or webcam-enabled computer. Each visit is $49, and most visits take about 20 minutes. Common conditions we treat using Care on Demand include:
- Cold and flu
- Pink eye
- Stomach flu
- Urinary tract infection in adult women
- Back pain

Telemedicine: Telemedicine is diagnosing and treating patients remotely, so they don’t have to travel from long distances. Currently, Illini Community Hospital is enabled with technology to let patients talk with providers at Blessing hospital and Southern Illinois University. We are using telemedicine for areas like urology, cardiology, behavioral health, dermatology and gastroenterology, both for diagnosis and for follow-up visits.
Be Well Online Patient Portal: Be Well Online is an online patient portal tool that provides anywhere, anytime access to your personal health records. This portal gives you access to test results, immunization records and summaries of your visits. You can also use it schedule appointments and get discharge instructions after a hospital stay, along with your home medication list. Find out more about how to sign up for and use Be Well Online.
